The Division of Global Affairs' International Visitors Bureau (IVB) was created to better leverage visits by high-profile international guests. IVBs are common among internationalization institutes/offices, and allow all campus stakeholders the opportunity to engage with important international visitors.
This website centralizes news and communications related to such visits for the benefit of internationalization efforts. When appropriate, these visits will also be coordinated with the Office of the President and in consultation with Kennesaw State University's Chief of Protocol, Ms. Lynda Johnson.
Ms. Vivian Bonilla-Cruz, assistant to the Chief International Officer, will coordinate communications regarding international visitors to KSU and opportunities for you and your faculty to engage with these guests through individual meetings or open reception events. Please contact Vivian 470-578-2569 or at email@example.com if you have any questions.
We look forward to working with you and your staffs to better utilize the international visitors who come to our campus.
Atlanta’s Consular Corps consists of 71 foreign governments maintaining consular offices in the city. The diplomats stationed in these offices work to improve relations between the United States and their home countries culturally, scientifically, and economically, and assist citizens of their countries who are visiting or living in the southeastern U.S.
Thanks to its close proximity to Atlanta, Kennesaw State University has a unique opportunity to work directly with members of the Consular Corps. KSU’s new Consular Connect program invites Consulates General to visit the campus and share their knowledge and perspectives with the KSU community.
Each month, the Division of Global Affairs will host a different member of the Atlanta Consular Corps. While on campus, these distinguished guests will:
- Meet with university leadership
- Give a classroom lecture on a topic of their choice
- Make a public address
- Attend a reception open to university faculty
Consular Connect gives KSU students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to engage with representatives of governments from around the world. These visits are a valuable learning opportunity for the university and will help encourage global engagement.
See below for the current schedule of Consular Corps visits:
German Consul General Christoph Sander
British Consul General Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford
French Consul General Denis Barbet
