Patriots and Peacemakers Exhibit

August 14, 2014
Don’t miss the first event for the 2014-2015 Year of Arabian Peninsula!

Patriots and Peacemakers: Arab-Americans in Service to Our Country is an exhibit from the Arab American National Museum brought to Kennesaw State University courtesy of the Alif Institute.

Arab Americans have fought and died in every U.S. war since the American Revolution defending our constitution and democracy. They have been members of the armed forced, part of the Peace Corps, and diplomats.

The personal narratives on display in this exhibit tell the stories of Arab Americans from different national and religious backgrounds that – thanks to their heroism and self-sacrifice – will always be remembered as true American heroes.

Patriots and Peacemakers: Arab Americans in Service to Our Country will be on display in the Social Sciences Atrium from August 18 through September 23. Everyone is invited to attend an opening reception on August 28 at 5pm.

To learn more about the exhibit, contact Dr. Dan Paracka at 470-578-6732 or at dparacka@kennesaw.edu.
