Kennesaw State University is proud of all the students who have earned Global Engagement Certification since the program's creation in 2009. Select the years below for a full listing of GEC recipients from that year.
On Wednesday, December 7th, 2016, the Division of Global Affairs awarded Global Engagement Certificates to 39 Kennesaw State University students who gained valuable insights in the areas of global perspectives, intercultural skills, and global citizenship from participating in education abroad programs.
Global Engagement Certification formally recognizes students who have not only studied
abroad, but have also parlayed that experience into a broader appreciation and understanding
of globalization. To receive the certification, students must meet requirements around
global coursework and foreign language proficiency, must have completed a service
learning project, and must describe in essay format how their education abroad programs
have affected their academic careers and personal lives.
Below you will find photos from the Fall 2016 Global Engagement Certification ceremony as well as a video slideshow of images captured during the students’ education abroad experiences.
