Consular Connect Program Brings Diplomats to KSU
September 17, 2014
On Wednesday, Sept. 17, German Consul General Cristoph Sander will visit Kennesaw State University and deliver an open lecture on the current state of his home country.
The event is the first of several planned visits to KSU by members of the Atlanta Consular Corps as part of the Division of Global Affairs’ new Consular Connect program.
Each month, the Division of Global Affairs will host a different member of the Atlanta Consular Corps. While on campus, these distinguished guests will:
- Meet with university leadership
- Give a classroom lecture on a topic of their choice
- Make a public address
- Attend a reception open to university faculty
Bringing members of the Consular Corp to campus helps expose the KSU community to
global perspectives on current events, and will contribute to the university’s goal
of increasing international awareness.
Sander’s lecture, titled Germany Today: Responsibility & Challenges in the Heart of Europe, will be held from 3:00-4:00pm in room 5074 of the Social Sciences Building. A series of public remarks will follow.
