The application process for the President’s Emerging Global Scholars program involves three steps:
1) Tell us a bit about yourself.
2) Complete the general Kennesaw State application.
3) Tell us about examples of your academic and extracurricular accomplishments.
First: Please provide some basic information about yourself.
Second: To be considered for the PEGS program, you must first complete the General Application to Kennesaw State University.
Third: Please submit three additional documents.
Document No. 1:
Please tell us about an exceptional experience, accomplishment, or activity you have had in high school. You might describe your work in a difficult class, or your efforts in a research project, an exceptional term paper, or an interesting group assignment. What success that you have achieved or challenge that you have overcame exemplifies your approach to academics and intellectual inquiry? (Please limit your response to about one page.)
Document No. 2:
Please tell us about an exceptional experience that you have had outside of school. You might describe your experiences in community service, peer groups, athletics, arts, or anything else that captures your time and attention. What have you done that exemplifies your approach to leadership and engagement? (Please limit your response to about one page.)
Please email the above documents directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, address, and KSU Application number.
Document No. 3:
Please request a Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or academic counselor. Ask the person writing the Letter of Recommendation to comment on your academic potential and your work ethic both within and outside the classroom. This letter should be confidential, sent without the applicant’s review directly to our office in a sealed envelope. Please submit the Letter of Recommendation to:
President's Emerging Global Scholars
Kennesaw State University
3391 Town Point Rd, Suite 2800

We will then review these documents, along with your KSU application, and make a decision on your PEGS application. We may ask some applicants to participate in a short interview with a representative of the program, either in person on the Kennesaw State campus or over the phone.
All applicants will be informed of our final decisions by March 30, 2017.
