Confucius Institute ScholarshipIn order to support the development of the Confucius Institutes, and to facilitate Chinese language promotion and Chinese cultural transmission in the world, Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban launched the Confucius Institute Scholarship program. The goal of this scholarship is to provide financial aid for students, scholars, and Chinese-language teachers worldwide to earn a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL) at Chinese universities (hereinafter referred to as "host universities"), or to study in majors such as Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History, and Chinese Philosophy.
Confucius Institute at KSU's partner university is Yangzhou University. Yangzhou is a small city in Jiangsu province near Shanghai. Historically it is one of the wealthiest of China's cities, known at various periods for its great merchant families, poets, painters, and scholars. Yangzhou University is one of the best universities in China. Scholarship recipients will have an opportunity to experience China and study Chinese at Yangzhou University.
