NOTICE OF THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATION

The following notices are posted as a result of the filing of an application for permanent alien labor certification for these job opportunities.  These postings will remain in public view for a period of at least 10 consecutive business days, and must be made no more than 180 and no less than 30 days prior to filing the permanent labor certification application.

Lecturer of Architecture

 

Responsibilities: Teach four to five courses per semester (typically including design studio) and serve the department through a singular committee or limited professional service.  Lecturer workloads are typically defined as follows but can be revised based on applicant strengths and professional aptitude: Teaching / Instruction: 90% of annual workload; Research / Creative Activities: 00% of annual workload; Service: 10% of annual workload. Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold at minimum: 1)  an accredited Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree (or its foreign equivalent); OR 2) an accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Master of Science in Architecture (or their foreign equivalent), or a related field, a record of teaching, and a demonstrated professional and scholarly commitment to Architecture.  Preferred Qualifications: Ideal candidates should have design teaching experience and a portfolio of professional practice and/or creative work.
