Faculty and University Partners
The Consortium
Ever since Kennesaw State University (KSU) sent its first group of students to Montepulciano,
Italy, in 1999, the University has partnered with a consortium of schools within the
University System of Georgia to develop programs in Tuscany.
Currently, the Montepulciano Consortium is responsible for the two traditional summer study abroad programs in Montepulciano—one, a five week session running between May and June, the other, a four week session running from the end of June to July. Students from across the University System of Georgia take courses in the Liberal Arts and Sciences as well as the Fine Arts taught by faculty from KSU, Georgia Southern, GCSU, Georgia Highlands, and VSU. It is Kennesaw State University’s hope that as new programs are developed in Montepulciano, universities within the Consortium will participate in these opportunities.
