Whether you want to study in Italy for a few weeks or a full semester, there is a program for you. Available options include traditional summer programs, an Italian culinary program. a 12-week fall immersion program, and a new Global Fellows program exclusively for first-year students.

First-Year Global Fellows Program

First Year Global Fellows ProgramKennesaw State is offering first-year students the opportunity to fulfill many of their first-year curriculum requirements by spending seven weeks of the fall semester in ITALY! University College and the Division of Global Affairs have collaborated to create the Global Fellows Program. As a Global Fellow, you spend the first seven weeks of fall semester on campus and the second five weeks in Italy. The remaining three weeks are spent on campus for reflections and final exams. This approach is designed to help prepare you to compete in the global market, develop international and national perspectives, and get a head start on your community, civic, and leadership training. You will also work with mentors to get the most out of the experience.

Traditional Summer Sessions

KSU in Tuscany in partnership with the Montepulciano Consortium (Georgia Southern, GCSU, VSU, and Georgia Highlands) operates a four-week and five-week summer session for university students interested in taking undergraduate courses in the fine arts and the liberal arts and sciences. Faculty from across the Consortium teach a General Education course and an upper-division course within their field of study. General Education courses often include World Literature; World History; Introduction to Anthropology, Psychology, or Sociology; Introduction to Visual Art, Theatre, and Music. Upper-division courses have included courses on Church Renaissance and Reformation, Ancient Rome, Shakespeare in Italy, Medieval and Renaissance Art. Faculty and Students on this program take field trips to Rome, Florence, Assisi, Siena, Pisa, and the Vatican City.
